So - who is Scarface anyway?! Born Brad Jordan over in Houston, Jordan always had a passion to be one of the best in the rap game. He got his start rapping in backrooms of recording studios when he was a teenager, inspired by the 1983 Scarface film to inspire his name and whole swag. By 19 he had released his first project and vinyl - and the rest was kinda history from there?! He began to blow up all around the Houston scene, signed a record and had a brief stint in the Geto Boys rap group, and began hitting Billboard stats soon after. He has consistently been named one of the best rappers of the entire game, Many collaborations and solo projects later - and looks like Scarface is trying to capture the same smooth Tiny Desk performance he had back in December 2023, two years ago about. The video has been viewed 2 million times on Youtube, and Scarface considers it one of his best performances sonically and ideas wise. And like, checks out - he made a whole concept tour off of the Tiny Desk theme, bringing small and purposefully intimate shows right to the fans. Everyone who’s gone to one of the shows calls them powerful, right in your face in the best way, and yes - absolutely worth the hype, too.
