Julie Rogers Theatre
The I Am Woman Experience is coming to Beaumont and the Metropolis Theatre at the Julie Rogers Theatre. The annual event for women will return on Friday, 17th July 2026 for a 2-day convention titled: There is Oil After This.
Three visionary and award-winning writers, Jamie Davis, Michelle Gilder and LaSan Gilder, are the conference founders and creative directors of this new venture, which invites women of all ages, 18 and up, to come together to celebrate the human spirit and to find safety in vulnerability.
After attending the Evolve conference, these two ladies decided to bring the experience to Southeast Texas and held the program, titled "Carry It On Home" at the state of the art theater which seats over 1,700 and features intimate surround sound.

Get your I Am Woman Experience – 2 Day Pass. The I Am Woman Experience will be taking place at Julie Rogers theatre in the heart of downtown Beaumont, Texas from Friday, July 17th and Saturday, July 18th, 2016. On Friday, the conference kicks off at 7:00 PM with doors opening at 6:00 PM. On Saturday, the theatre will open at 9:00 AM with the mature fan experience titled There is Oil After This which will delve into the endless possibilities of sisterhood and aid in the growth of women through conversations and activities geared towards female empowerment with a focus on personal development and the openness of sisterhood.
The celebration is produced by dynamic sister writing team, Jamie Davis, Michelle Gilder and LaSan Gilder. Become a part of creating a movement of community and faith-based empowerment for women.
Author and speaker, Jamie Davis brings Real Inspiration to Southeast Texas by helping women find success through community and unity. The I Am Woman Experience are two days of dynamic instruction, motivation, and inspiration where women gather to find empowerment through inspiration.
Michelle Gilder is passionate about sisterhood and spirituality. As a co-founder of the I Am Woman Experience, Michelle leads hundreds of women to their inner-most selves through meaningful connections with other women. At the Dallas event, Michelle will share her perspective on sisterhood and how she cultivates a healthy and nourishing community.
LaSan Gilder, the youngest sister of the trio of inspirational women who lead the I Am Woman Experience, is the third of the sister trio. She is vivacious, energetic and inspiring. As the founding member of I Am Woman Experience, LaSan empowers women to experience their highest potential. As a founding member of I Am Woman Experience, LaSan can attest to the accuracy of the message by sharing her own experiences and those of her sisters.
Julie Rogers theatre is conveniently located at 765 Pearl Street, Beaumont, Texas 77701. This incredible performing arts venue has over 1,700 seats and provides amazing sight lines and acoustics. The seating in the theatre can be set up in a variety of configurations for the two-day conference. Drinks can be brought into the auditorium; however, please note that no snacks should be consumed in the theatre, and patrons should dine outside. The Julie Rogers theatre is part of the award winning Beaumont Events complex, the main venue for events, performances, functions, dance recitals, symphonies and ballets. For the Performing Arts Center show, parking for ASO's pre-concert event is FREE and is located on the west side of Main Street just west of the Beaumont Civic Center. This will put you just a short walk from the Julie Rogers Theatre for the Performing Arts Center show. In addition to the lots surrounding the Julie Rogers Theatre, street parking and other parking facilities are available throughout the city of Beaumont.
